La carte Velocity Solo x2 est une carte PCI-Express x2 qui propose un contrôleur SATA 6 gigabits/s et un emplacement 2,5 pouces pour un SSD directement sur la carte avec, en plus, une prise SATA classique pour relier un second disque dur ou SSD.Avec cette carte, il est possible d'atteindre 550 Mo/s avec un seul SSD et 800 Mo/s avec deux SSD.Compatibilité MacPro :La Velocity Solo x2 est compatible avec tous les Mac Pro, mais ne bootera que sur les modèles en EFI64, soitr les trois derniers, à savoir Mac Pro 3,1 4,1 et 5,1. Vous pourrez savoir quel est le modèle de votre machine en allant sur "About This Mac" (A propos de ce Mac), puis sur "More Info" (Plus d'info). Les deux premiers modèles connus comme Mac Pro1,1 et 2,1 sont des EFI32 donc il ne booteront pas mais fonctionneront comme stockage de masse élevé.
